no start no smoke

hello all this is my 1st post i have a 2002 f250 7.3 drove home, came out 30 min. later crank but no start, checked fuses, oil level, drained bowl and it refilled, changed cps new from ford still no start unpluged icp still nostart, changed ipr with new ford part still no start.hooked up oil press guage to hpop res.plug hole got 45 psi so i know im getting oil to hpop.i can start it by spraying either in it and it will run till you quit spraying the either,(with glowplugs disconnected).got tired of throwing parts at it.called clay at riff raff im now the proud oner of ae ford bundle. now can someone walk me through what i need to ck with it. im guessing inj press. i hooked my ae up to it today and it gave me a code 1280,live data icp 2248.45 icp duty cycle 31.64 but not sure what else to ck. thx ed

Here's a couple threads with a lot of info. couple things to check.

ICP - over 500
rpm - over 100
voltage - over 10.5 while cranking
fuel injector pulse width - at least .5ms if I remember correctly

If there is no smoke the injectors are not firing or there is no fuel pressure.

no start no smoke

hello was cking things with ae today and truck finely started. heres what i recoreded:
batt v.:13.8
eng. rpm:666-707
icp duty cycle 12.50, (2600rpm 1.62)
icp volts 0.72-0.89 (2600rpm 1.62)
f.i.p.w. 0.24ms (2600rpm 0.17ms)
icp 462-501 (2600rpms 1156psi)
comes up slow while cranking till it starts, long crank.
eng.temp 187.20
bar v.4.25 (2600rpm 4.24)

engine will start but not all at once, kinda like you have to hold the key in start till all eight cyl. are firing good then let loose of key.
by looking at these readings what do yall recomend doing if you need more info just let me know. wanted to do a cyl contribution test but could not find it in ae. also have small oil leak under pass side of engine but valley is dry, hope its not the rear main. thx again ed

Cylinder contribution test : go into enhanced powertrain when you first connect then click on the tab at the top that says "test on board systems" cylinder contribution test should be in the drop-down menu there

almost 13% ICP DC with under 500 PSI ICP at idle? That's a bit high on the IPR for that ICP... you may have an internal oil leak, like injector O-rings. Since you already tried to start it with ICP disconnected, we might be able to rule out a lying ICP sensor.

On both of my trucks, at operating temp, run just under 500 rpm at idle and about 11.5 duty cycle.

That's about what Stinky did when he was stock, his IPR would lock in at 11.33%. That 13% is a tad high for a warm engine.

truck cranked up today, but before i started cranking on it i checked oil in reservoir and i could not touch it with a piece of wire in reservoir. cranked for a long time, was watching ipr it took along time to build up. when it hit 490-500 she fired right up. ran a little rough till it warmed up. turned engine off.checked oil in reservoir again was right up at top, cranked again still long crank time. also no tach on dash but have tach on a/e. i think im gona try my old cps and see if that helps. would no oil in res. be a cracked standpipe if so can i get to it by taking top off of the reservoir. thx again for all the help. ed

When you say you have no tach, do you mean while cranking, or after it starts? If the truck starts, the CPS is working. The PCM has to see a signal from it before it allows fuel to the cylinders.
