I need to get a new bracket for my front passenger side. One of the slide pins stuck, and snapped off when trying to get it out.
ford is 95.00 for the bracket, Napa is 20.00.
I can swing for the Ford part, but is it worth it really? I underestand this is brake parts we are talking about, one of the most important parts of any vehicle, and even a slight increase in performance/strength/reliability is worth alot, but more than 4.5x as much for a simple cast bracket?
Well, I called Napa up. And they can't get one in until monday. nearest one in a store is about 60 miles away, 120 miles round trip, 30 bucks in gas plus 2-3 hours of driving passing through New Orleans. Not worth it, and can't wait till monday, I need my truck on the road tonight. guess I'm paying for the marked up Ford part.
