simple question ... is the bracket that holds the caliper the same on each side? I need to find one hopefully at a junkyard. Do I need to get only the passenger or driver side or are they identical?
thanks a lot y'all. so freaking busy right now I can't even read 1/10 of what I would like to absorb here.

2) F81Z2B292BA .. R/L Front Caliper Bracket / Fits: 1999/2007 F250/350 Super Duty.
I'm working on the road right now with a schedule controlled by the weather. Makes it hard to get things shipped to me.
I wonder what the dealership price would be? Probably scary. I had someone do my brakes for me but it kind of bummed me out...didn't look too hard but I didn't have any time to learn it myself. On my previous vehicle brake work always got involved with the hub and various other suspension/steering parts and nice specialty tools; so much engineering in a small place that I always went with a pro for that stuff. I'll learn these brakes next time, and in the summer, when I have time to do it.
Anyhow, the guy who did it for me is great, works at the local dealer and then moonlights on weekends. He told me one of the bolt-holes in the bracket is stripped but he had no heli-coil to re-thread it. He put the partially stripped bolt in the good hole and the good bolt in the stripped one and got it to about 60% of recommended torque, but suggested replacing the bracket within a few weeks. I think I will be able to hit a junkyard or two along the way to some jobs, we'll see. He didn't think it would be in the supply chain at a regular parts store. ?
Not to take away any steam from Ed at FTEPartsGuy, but if you're on the road and can't get something shipped to you, NAPA prices are not very different from those quoted by Ed, and the one new bracket I installed this spring has been holding up very well. Make sure to go ahead and invest in some new slide pins and then use the NAPA purple high performance anti-sieze to keep them sliding for a long time.
