One of the bolts on my 1999 Ford F150 (5.4 V8) broke off. It is the bolt that goes to the beauty cap on top of the engine. While I understand the cap is not necessary, I would still like to have it on. So my questions are:
- Where can I get a replacement bolt? Besides the Ford dealer.
- What kind of bolt? Thread size, length, ect?
- What kind of tap would I need to drill the old one out?
Just having two bolts in this case, is not an option. Thanks for your time, I eagerly await your response.
The plastic cover that goes over the engine. It usually has the car brand and engine type stamped on it. It really serves no major purpose except to make the engine bay look neater.
