Slow Start

Just throwing out a question for all the SD gurus and you know who you are!!! I have gone thru 3 starters in 17 months, 2 remans and 1 hi torque brand new. they will work fine for a few months then slowly start becoming more and more sluggish. Then suddenly the passenger side battery will be completely dead. My question is this, is the starter powered by the passenger side battery? And would the failing starter cause a drain on that battery? I hope my question isn't too vague!

low voltage to the starter,is a common problem due to discharged or bad batteries, dirty battery cable connections, bad battery cables, draw on batteries which cause low voltage starts, alternator can cause a draw if has a bad diode.watch voltage drop in batteries while sitting overnite & over weekend.
