After driving the pickup on Saturday engine temps for ECT and EOT where over 190F. I stopped and after 5 minutes I went to restart the pickup the engine took 5-7 seconds to start.
Now intermittently I try to start and it takes 4 or 5 seconds to start. As of now it has always started.
I am less than 1/4 tank of fuel which I am uncertain if that would be related.
I am now getting a P0279 #7 injector circuit low code. The #7 injector was just replaced a week and a half ago. The #7 injector was replaced in January 2012.
I am starting to wonder whether I am getting a bad batch of injectors or if maybe something else to be contributing to this failure? FICM was worked by ED in January of 2012. I am currently seeing nothing below 46.5V on the FICM reading on my Edge CTS. Not sure what else could be causing this?
Thoughts? I plan to take it back to the guy who replaced the injector since it's under warranty.
