What 4spd
I'm not saying this guys will, and that he knows what he is doing, but some of you act like this is an impossible feat.
Just sayin, he has no street cred around here right now.
Ask questions like "What would be a reasonable setup for $X for my 302?" or "I'd like to build a nice cruiser, what would you suggest? I'm thinking punchy and 4/5 speed." Coming in claiming "pushing 450HP" with a partial recipe that resembles the ad pages in Hot Rod magazine sends the bs meter deep into the red. And keep a single post per subject. I would suggest though, that you start a new thread called "My Project" and list what it is you are trying to accomplish, your budget and time line and you will get better info. Do your homework as well. Read up on stuff. There's a ton of info out there on everything. And say please and thank you. It's just civil.
That being said, I think 450HP in a mostly stock truck is a bad idea. They are light in the rear making hook up a major issue and all you'll really accomplish is handing your check to the tire guy on a regular basis. Also, these are not performance vehicles. The TIB suspension, is an IFS, but it responds to load and not corner carving. Alignment is accomplished with jacks and I-beams. Nothing performance about it. When I was in High School, a classmate and his older brother built a big block Camaro over the summer. Poured all their money into it. That July/August, just before school started, they left the road late at night and lost the fight with the 400 year old oak tree. There was a back seat to tail piece and firewall forward piece. Nothing else. Think about that.

So welcome to FTE!
I'm not real big into manual trannys, my personal suggestion was going to be a built C4 and higher rear end gears.
Ford Trucks for Ford Truck Enthusiasts
I haven't been posting here very much in the years I've been "lurking" in the background, but I feel I've been around long enough that I can certainly say welcome to the FTE forum!!
Todd.
But I got ta say becoming a supporter is the fastest and easiest way to post pics right from
your whatever pad/cell thing or home computer.
Few of us look in the users Gallery or album as you can see by your recent visitors.

It seems awkward, but whenever you "insert a picture" to one of these threads, the forum is looking for the picture somewhere on the web (which is always available) rather than from somewhere on your hard drive (which isn't always available).

Go to Image hosting, free photo sharing & video sharing at Photobucket and sign up for a free account. Then create an album for your truck. Upload any pics you want to post on FTE to that album. Have this album open on your computer when you want to post pics on FTE.
While you're making a post on FTE, select the pic you want to post from your Photobucket album. When the large version of the pic is open, right mouse click on it and select "View Image Info". The image info will be highlighted and will look something like this:
The best photos and videos | Photobucket
Copy that highlighted info (right click / copy).
When you have the spot in your post where you want the pic to be placed, select the "Insert Image" icon at the top of the post (looks like a mountain) and paste (right click / paste) the image info you copied in the highlighted box (just shows "http://" when it opens).
Your pic will be placed in the post.
Hope that helps.
Here's a tutorial Bob put together: https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/67...-pictures.html Bob's link is not working. Can someone in the know tell me why?
How to upload pictures to the FTE Forums. - YouTube. Thanks Sam Rusty_Old_F250. Best we can find is that this video was done by Gundown64
I was thinking... If his 302 has 450HP, then I should be able to squeeze at least 380hp out of my N/A 240 six. All I need now is a K&N filter and octane booster.
of Ford pony engines. You don't know. There are computer geeks working
for our Guberment his age.
I say come on back Kiddo and tell us more before this thread dies for lack
of input.
You Da Man. Or boy. So set these Nay Sayers straight.
