Can't thank you enough Bill,
From the last 6 numbers of the VIN 381108, I get the first digit is for 63, being the 3 is for 63, and is the 8 for the eighth month of production, with production commencing in July 1962, then the last 4 digits are the consecutive number of production, so the truck was the 1108th truck produced.
Is that right?
