It will start well ( not always) and run great (when running) However at times the accelerator needs to be depressed all the way to get a start. I have spark ( checked with a spare wire/plug at the distributor) and a good pulse at the pick up coil (5-12vdc) The TPS was recently changed but I dont believe it was needed.
Could tis be as simple as a tune up? Wires/plugs, cap, rotor ect ect ect?
Ok I'll do that. The IAC is the sensor on the throtle body or the one down lower ?
IAC is on the TB, the TPS is the one on the bottom. You said you already replaced the TPS. The TPS can be bad as well and you can check that to make sure. If you turn the key on, don't start motor, then back probe the wires on the TPS. One will be ground, one will be ~5v (this is VREF and should not change) and the last will be the signal back to the computer. This last one should read < 1.0 volt (or so) when the TB is closed. As you open the TB that value should change to where you have > 4 volts at WOT (wide open throttle).
