HELP
Ok guys I have a 93 f150 4x4.It has the 5.0 stock engine 220,000 miles,it started knocking so pulled it out and replaced it with a carbureted 302 from another one of my trucks.The new motor has a mild cam,high performance 289 heads,bored .30.The old motors firing order is the 154,the new motor that's in it now is the 137.I put all the fuel injection from the original motor (154 firing order) on my new motor.Im using the 137 firing order because that's what the cam calls for.When I turn it over it acts like it wants to start but won't.Kind of sounds like the timing is out of whack.We pulled the distributor multiple times and set it 10 degrees BTDC on compression stroke and the rotor pointing to the #1 on the cap towards the rear of the engine.Is all this correct?.What do I need to get this to run it's my daily driver and need it going ASAP and as cheap as possible.Any ideas?
