Glad it works. But, I hate to tell you that a fan would have felt cold today.
As for bartering, bring it on. Maybe I can reverse barter an intake and exhaust manifolds for part of a tranny rebuild? Oh yeah, he's no longer doing that. Shucks.
Last night was when I cranked it up and ran down the turnpike. The sun was down, but without even thinking about it I turned it down to low and then off. So it was getting cold. We will know for sure in a week or two.
There could still be a deal to be made on the ZF rebuild. I need to get one done too.Scott will do it. We just have to make it worth his while to come in on a Saturday and handle it.
I walked in with a peg leg and limited slip carrier for an 8.8 one day at Scott's work. I asked him if I could use his pullers to break it all down and swap everything to the LS unit. He said "sure thing". Then he took them both apart in about 5 minutes and sent me over to James' area to have him swap the R&P. When that was done he put it all back together with the new parts and sent me out the door. LOL! They are both great guys. James is good , but Scott started doing gear work in 1966 and hasn't done anything else to this day. James can make it happen as far as getting Scott to hook us up on some ZF rebuilds. I probably could too, but I think he owes James a favor. So we would be better off getting him to make the deal.
He has already burned the clutches out of his LS rear end. I told him to at least change the timing set. I think he still has the retarded set in it, but the truck runs strong regardless.
