After trying the road force balance and you are not ready to live with it....

"Also, if they start to take it apart, what might I have they do while it is apart (maintenance or replacement wise) since I'm paying the labor to have it "opened up" anyway."

If they take the driveshaft out may as well replace the u-joints and install the Motorcraft grease on the slip splines. Scribe a mark between driveshaft halves as you do not want it out of phase.

If he rotated the tires and still doesn't feel it in the wheel it's not likely to be the tires. I agree with Josh's suggestion about checking out the driveline angles.

Thanks for this recommendation. I will definitely put it on my list once we determine it's definitely a wheel balance issue. I have one more opportunity to test the "balance is out" theory. they are also mounting and balancing my four snow tires on separate rims. Once they do that, I'll have them remount the snows back onto the truck and we'll go for another road test.

If the vibration is gone, then it's pretty safe to say it's the new Michelin tires/balancing etc. that is the problem. If the vibration is still there, that points to something else on the truck being the problem and we're off to that diagnostic race.
