Well i found out today while my truck was getting worked on that part of my exhaust fell off. I was told from previous owner that it had turbo back exhaust but now im doubtful. Ill attach a couple pics but does it hurt that my exhaust is now short? Ends at back of cab and it also looks smaller around now than it was on the other end
Thats the end of it now
Does this downpipe look stock?
Im making a heavy pull on a 3 hour road trip next week of about 20k pounds. Will this exhaust affect me at all?
I currently have 6637 filter, ts 6 position chip, stage 1 injectors (according to PO), and just installed some isspro gauges to keep an eye on everything. O and truck is a 97ish f350 dually crew cab.
Def. an aftermarket downpipe. Exhaust beneath the cab is asking for carbon monoxide poisoning. Is everything aft of that pipe in the first pic just plain gone? Or has it just separated somewhere? You're probably best off getting a 3"-4" adapter/expander, and a 4" straight pipe from there over the axle and out the passenger side. It's usually sold as a complete kit including the downpipe, but check on the various sponsor sites; you might find just the main pipe and tailpipe. Join with band clamps; do NOT use those old-school u-bolt clamps, unless you want to be very sorry later if you have to make any adjustments.

Yea its all gone, think i lost it on i10 a couple weeks ago, my buddy has said he saw some metal come from under my truck but we couldnt figure out what was missin haha. It used to have 4" out in front of the tire
Know what? Your questions have been answered. That's an aftermarket downpipe, and you need to add some exhaust (your choice, whether it's straight pipe or with a muffler) to avoid poisoning the occupants of the cab. Side exit just forward of the rear tire should be safe; plenty of fellows are running such a system. The cautious option would be to extend it up and over the axle and run a side exit just aft of the tire, a la OEM.
If you're wondering about _whose_ exhaust to get, again that's your call. Diamond Eye and MBRP are to favorite brands; many of the sponsors here (follow the "Vendor Directory" link at the top of any FTE page) sell them. There's always OEM-style parts from the usual brands such as Walker, available at RockAuto or your FLAPS.

My question was would this short exhaust affect towing? I will not have time to fix it before the trip
