CAI issue

I have 06 f250sd 5.4. Found a cai for 100$. We'll it was for a f150. They have diff intakes. So I cut the mass air flow sensor mount out of the cai pipe flipped it an rewelded it so that theass air flow sensor will read correctly. We'll truck still wants to shut off. How do I make this work? Also jus purchased sct programmer

Put your stock filter back on to include the housing.

It was not made to fit properly so it is not going to work the best. Get a correct unit for your truck is the best option.
