Help with Trans Numbers
I am looking a three speed tranny for sale with casting number C3AR 7006-E and a number plate with 3JI3 on it. Is behind a 292 and will put it back behind the 292 in my 64 2wd. It is a 3spd.
What was the original application for the tranny and does it have first synchronized?

Warranty Plate TRANS code: A
1957/62: Ford 3 speed non syncro 1st gear.
1963/65: Ford type 3.03 3 speed all syncro.
1966/79: New Process 435 4 speed.
Warranty Plate TRANS code C = 1966/79 Ford type 3.03 3 speed all syncro.
