79 F150 trans code
Using the various VIN decoders available I have decoded most everything on the truck, but my trans code is "K", and I don't see that listed in any of the decoders.
79 F150 4x4
400
4 speed
F14SREG6016
Trans "K"
Axle 16A
Anyone seen this code?

According to my Chiltons trans code K is a auto C-6. But if you have a 4 speed someone swapped in in after the fact. Is the top plate on the trans aluminum or steel?. If it is aluminum it is a NP-435, if it is steel it is a T-18.
