i have a 2008 f250 4x4 i need to replace the drive side front lower body bushing and i can not get the pressed on bushing to come out what is the easiest way to get this to come apart i tried using a 4 ft pry bar and i could not get it to pop free any ideas
Here is how Energy Suspension recommends the removal.
They tell you to make a tool out of pipe. I have new bushings on order and will have to make one within the next few weeks. http://www.energysuspensionparts.com...n/17P17627.pdf

So you ordered the Energy Suspension polyurethane body mounts? I am very interested in how they ride. I will be doing this in the next week or two, but am unsure what type to get. The Ford OEM or the polyurethane.
I wondered the same but figured they to be better than the deteriated ones that are currently on it banging around.
For what I see I couldn't afford the OEM.
Good point, I have read pros and cons about the polyurethane. One says "rides fine" other says to "much vibration".
My mounts are also causing handling issues, or at least that's what I am thinking. They also bang around and feel spongy under my feet. So at this point anything is better then the worn out crap that's on there now.
Good luck, and let us know how you make out. Not much info on here about body mounts.
Well, We just had to replace one lower body mount, front drovers side. Ended up using a big pry bar with a pipe on the end of it and it came off. It was a pita but it lost, new one went on easy as pie.
Good luck with your projects.
Well received my new body bushings today. Energy suspensions is the manufacturer. First impressions, they are not as hard or ridged as I expected. They are rather soft which is good. Hopefully I can get them on at the end of the week.
Take pics of the process please, I want to lift the cab slightly so i can get under there with some POR15 so i might as well replace them while I'm at it.
I know this an old thread but could some one please tell me how many body mounts are on a 2008 F250 XLT Supercab. I can only see 4 and wondering where the other two are because all replacement kit include 6 bushings.
