Another problem with '11 6.7L med unit. U059E code!
Again, last night, the problem plagued ambulance threw more codes. This is the truck that lost it's enigine at 17k. Now, after 3 EGT sensors since December, twice the same one, it did this last night. Now, also I think that either the CAC has a hole in it or one of the pipe connections broke as it gets an extremely loud, blowing sound when accelerating around 2,000 RPMs. So loud in fact that you can't tell where it is coming from under the hood. Much like the 6.4 did when the lower boot came apart. However, we can't find a hole anywhere, but truck will only boost around 18 PSI and much slower acceleration. I scanned the truck and got the U059E code pertaining to the NOX sensor. Just throwing this one out there as it was supposed to be taken to Ford today.
Have already talked to them about that. This is a different service than the one we where we deleted the 6.4, but have told them about it. This is a small service with only a few trucks and the commissioners are already talking about a Dodge for the next one. Trying to get them to get this one right, but Ford says nothing they can do, or will do. This truck has a more extensive history than I previously thought. It shut down on day 3 of being pit into service. all really believe it is a lemon, but it is a fleet truck, so they had no recourse with it. Of course they did buy a new '14 6.7 and only has around 7k miles on it as it was piggybacked off of another purchase. However they are really growing unhappy with Fords. Like I mentioned before, several around already went to Dodge and one of the private services just bought 6 6.2L gassers.
The truck was delivered to the dealership today, so I will let you know what I find out.
I had my NOX sensor go out on my truck as well. Plus the truck managed to tear a boot going into the turbo which resulted in only getting 5 or less on the boost gauge. Truck had no power at all.
Have you filed a complaint with Ford and let them know that you're extremely unhappy with the truck? I did last week and I'm waiting to hear back from them. My truck has been to the dealer so many times I've actually lost count.

Yes they have. The EMS Director wrote Ford and all she got back was a letter basically stating "too bad"! I am not kidding, it was pathetic. It has now been turned over for legal consult by the commissioners.
The CAC pipe coming from behind the battery box split and that was the reason for the noise and loss of boost. And get this...it is PLASTIC! All the ones you see on top are aluminum, but the one that connects directly to the CAC, is plastic..The pipe had about a 3" split near the coupling at the CAC. After replacing, clearing the NOx code and driving, no more code. Will be driving it this weekend so I'll let you know anything further.
Has your NOX sensor been repaired or is it currently at the dealership? How many miles are on your truck?

Yes, it has. My truck isn't at the dealer right now, it's actually due for another breakdown so I'm just waiting. My truck has 82,500 miles in a little over 2 years. Ford told me that they aren't going to buy it back and that they are looking into weather I can still get an extended warranty for it since it's past the in service date time frame to purchase one.
I told Ford that if I had known this truck was going to have this many problems when I bought it then I would've kept my old truck. Now if I can't get an extended warranty basically once the truck hit's 100,000 miles I better have a fat bank account in case something breaks on it.
The truck is currently up for sale right now.
What would be ideal is if Ford sold a glider kit like they do on big rigs that way I could get a new truck, put a little kitty CAT in it with a 6 speed manual Eaton Fuller transmission behind it and be done.
