I know what you mean Tim. I have training at the end of the month for 3 days. ( it equates to 3 days spent in a boring room with a boring instructor.Only highlight is the change in scenery for the divisional breakfast which is a boring 2-3 hour meeting with the only highlight being free food.) I have a 4 day weekend next month and then nothing else planned at the moment. I am trying to get at least one camping trip planned for the summer. Just waiting to hear from 2 friends what week will work best for them so I can put in for the time off. Also pondering a shift change for an opening that might appear later this year. I am leaning towards moving to day shift.
Thats what I am thinking Tim. Might be better for me in the long run to be on day shift. One of the day shift dispatchers quit earlier this month. We moved a guy from midnight to cover the opening because of his health. He is on dialysis right now. So it is just a matter of time before he leaves on disability.

I am going to Tim. I know I will lose a few things by going to day shift but I think the pros will be better. Like a normal sleep schedule again. And I can start to have a more normal personal life again.
