Just got a aluminum intake for my 351 and was wondering if I need to buy a new Valley pan gasket or are they reusable? Also should I just use silicone for the ends or use the rubber gaskets? Any other tips are appreciated thanks

Dunno about 351M valley pans
But I'd just use RTV on the ends... ya might wannaa dimple the end rails so the RTV have some "feet" to grab onto unlike a straight smooth surface.
When applying the RTV, it's not a straight bead.. rather it's daub-lift-daub-lift.... try to make it look like a string of nice TIG welds. Wait for about 10 minutes for it to skin over and then place the manifold straight down. It doesn't hurt to pre-fit the intake to determine how tall the RTV has to be.
Below is an example of dimpled China walls. A broad punch and hammer gets the job done. You can also go the extra mile and dimple the underside of the intake too.

thanks for the picture I will make sure to do this
Those cake pans should not be re-used if you want a good seal.
Pre- bend the pan a bit and test fit on the block and check how the intake fits. Hopefully, you still have those little nubbies on each head - they help hold the pan in place while fitting the intake if you don't bend it.
Silicon/RTV the china walls and up the sides a bit first....while that's "breathing" or tacking over, RTV both sides of the pan, around every opening with a light layer. A thicker layer should go on the pan's top "S" ends and up the sides a bit.
