Need a little help, I have a 1978 f-150 with a 400m replaced the intake gasket after tightening the bolts I noticed the front and rear seal shifted out of place it has the valley type gasket, is there any trick to keeping them in place while putting the intake back on, I will have to do it all over again, I guess I'll have to get a new pan gasket for it also?
Take a look in the 335 series engine forum for a post titled "79 351m gasket set & valley pan". I just went through this with mine and got several responses. Most of which said to ditch the rubber seals and just use RTV.
