1995 4.0 EFI Idle issues - Error Codes p0443, p1445

This is my old thread for those that would like to read it.
1305831-1995-4-0-efi-idle-issue.html

OK.
I had these 3 codes
p0443
p1445
p0135

I cleared the bottom one, by replacing the Oxygen sensor.
I thought it cleared all the codes, however the top 2 codes came back.

p0443
p1445

this is what the truck is doing.
I went down the road yesterday, to go to the dump.
When I pulled out on the highway, the truck was not getting any fuel, I could press on the peddle, but nothing was happening.
Luckily I had enough roll, to get the truck u-turned around and off the side of the road. (Luckily no traffic)
I cut the truck off, and turned it back on, and was able to go about 20-40 yards each crank up. (It took about 5 minutes to go an 1/8 mile)

When i got back to the house.
I popped the hood, and cranked the truck.
I messed with the throttle, and it started out, sounding like it was taking in air than gas. (I wish i would have had my camera out when I did this).

I am going to try to get some video/audio of it, and post later.
So, any idea's on this would be great.

I would suspect your problems are related to the EVAP codes. So that's what you should focus on first.
Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) P0443 indicates a failure in the EVAP canister purge valve circuit. Possible causes:

- VPWR circuit open.
- EVAP CANISTER PURGE open.
- EVAP CANISTER PURGE shorted to PWR GND or SIG RTN.
- Damaged EVAP canister purge valve.
- Damaged PCM

Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) P1445 indicates that Self-Test has detected a Purge Flow (PF) sensor circuit input above the maximum. Possible causes:

- PF shorted to VPWR.
- PF open circuit.
- PWR GND open circuit.
- Damaged purge flow (PF) sensor.
- Damaged PCM.
You'll find more EVAP info in this thread: https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/1...rol-valve.html

Thanks Rockledge.
Would you perhaps have some information on WHERE it would be at on a 95 4.0 EFI motor?

The EVAP system is comprised of several parts and hoses which are located in various places. I suggest you refer to a Haynes Manual, or utilize the Autozone website Repair Guides. They will provide more detailed info, including illustrations such as THIS.
