Kingpin Replacement

Kingpin Replacement
I am in need of replacing my kingpins. My pass side is squealing like a pig when I turn and I can't grease the pin on top or bottom. The zerk fittings are fine, I took them off and checked that they were getting grease through them.
Does anyone know of a Machine shop or Suspension Shop in the Dallas area that could press out the old and install and ream the new? I am in need of a quick turn around since this is my daily driver. I appreciate the help!

Any decent machine shop should be able to handle the job. I would call some and see if they can do it quickly.
Since you're in need of a quick turnaround, I would go with the nylon kingpin bushings instead of the bronze. They won't need to be align honed like the metal ones will.
The bronze ones have to be pressed in and then align honed for the kingpin to fit correctly. The nylon on the other hand just fit in the spindle bore and the pin will slide in without any honing.
The nylon and bronze are interchangeable.
My personal preference is bronze, but as long as you keep them greased, the nylon will give very acceptable service.
Just so you know, when I had mine changed, I took the axles to my favorite machine shop. They put one of the axles in the press and the pin didn't budge. It took heat and sitting in the press overnight for the pin to pop loose.
