Back in an Excursion!

Picked up an '05 EB 6.0L yesterday and I couldn't be more excited. It was a one owner, very well taken care of, and has 113k miles. It drove like a dream.

It looked like it was a soccer mom mobile and wasn't driven much. I did the inspection with the mechanic and ran a scan tool as well and no issues.

The only thing I need to find is the seat belt buckle and middle bench seat belt combo. I guess it had broke and the owners never replaced it. I am sure I can find it somewhere pretty decent.

I will post some pics when I get a chance.

Congrats!

Mine was a cream-puff too, it was just covered in Amarillo dust, lol!

Head to Autozone and pick yourself up a scanguage to keep an eye on things.

Mine has more than paid for itself by helping me catch a failing alternator before I had to pay for new batteries and maybe a FICM.

I actually saw quite a few in the San Diego/Orange County area. I am from San Diego and I am traveling back there in May and was going to pick one up and drive back to PA. But this one fell out of the sky. I would say they aren't very popular around here.

I picked up an Actron scanner before I bought it so I too will keep and eye on it. I was glad to see the real time data as I was given a heads up about the EGR cooler clogging and the temp difference that should be there.

Congratulations! I'm looking for another as well after trading mine for a new Navigator. I really like the gator, but not as much as the Excursion. I think I'm going to try for a 7.3L this time...I was always afraid of the 6.0L going bad. Besides, I want to bump the power in it and I know the 7.3 will handle more without worrying about the head bolts.

I may have just convinced my wife to sell our old Jaguar to get into one too! She likes driving the Navigator more.

Even a tuned 7.3 can't keep up with a stock 6.0

The middle buckle and belt might of slipped below the seat. Check under the seat.
