I did some searching but couldnt find a solid answer to my question. I have a 93 xtd cab 4x4.
I am wondering whats the biggest lift I can put on without additional mods i.e. pit-man arm and such.
I am looking to do the moog 884 springs and possibly a small coil spacer, going for around 3-4" of lift in the front. Is 3-4 safe with just springs or will I need additional parts to keep the geometry safe? If you are running something similar or have other suggestions please lemme know. Thanks
Under 2" you can get away with the taller springs and camber bushings (and alignment).
More than 2" need to do drop axle pivot brackets & drop pitman arm. Drop radius arm brackets would probably be a good idea.
If you're going to buy new springs, just buy the ones that get all the lift you want, instead of buying springs then stuffing coil spacers under them.
Did you mean Moog CC844 springs? I can't find 884 springs listed for Moog. I have CC844 on my truck, gave it 1.25" inch lift. That with camber bushings and its working well.
Yeh I knew I would need an alignment and camber bushings. I was gunna do the moog springs and a spacer just for cost savings. but I guess if I need the drop pitman arm and pivot brackets I'll just buy a good kit.
-@goinboarding, yes I am talking about the cc844 springs sorry for the confusion.
Ive just been doing a lot of reading around and 3-4" of lift is what I like for the stance/look im looking for.
