Rear end Question

hey guys the rear end from my 68 f100 has been replaced by a later model 8.8 rear end and I know that they have a wider track width but what about the rear end from a 79 f150 is it the same width as the 68 or is it wider?

I think it is close to the same width but you will have to move the spring pads in since the 79 has a wider frame width, 37 1/2" for 73-79 F-100/F-150 compared with 33 1/2" for 67-72.

37 1/2" for 73-79 F100/F150 compared with 33 1/2" for 61-72.
