6.9 Fuel Selector

I took my 6.9 to a shop and had fuel pump replaced and they pulled the selector valve as it was bad. I now have no fuel guage reading and have put fuel in. Is there any way around getting a new selector? using a wire to go aross where the selector was? I really don't want to buy a new/used selector just for a fuel guage reading. thanks in advance!

They pulled the selector valve? Does that mean it was replaced with a new one? If so, they probably wired the replacement connector wrong.

Unless you want to replace the valve, you'll have to get a wiring diagram and direct-wire the tank you want to use. Without the valve, your fuel gauge won't work (been there -- I used the wrong valve on my 86 and had to do a lot of work to get things going again).

Not sure what you consider your time to be worth, but the most cost effective way of getting it done is just to replace the valve.
