Sold a truck to a guy, and got cash and he ordered me an exhaust for my truck...MBRP S6218P...my trucks a manual and it won't fit. Down Pipe looks different and it points to inside of the frame. When you try to attach the second pipe to the down pipe it hits the trans crossmember...anyone else have this issue? No I purchased flex pipe and cut the pipe. Still won't work. Now I have a 400$ hacked exhaust system.
You need to move the pinch weld regardless of what brand of downpipe. If this is a single-piece pipe and the outlet points the wrong way no matter how you orient the inlet, that's the disadvantage of a single-piece pipe - Mounts, But Really Poorly . A two-piece pipe like the Diamond Eye offers some leeway, and provided you use the proper band clamp (not the cr@ppo u-bolt clamp they supply), will seal tight, and will allow you to loosen/remove it later for adjustment.
One possible option with a single-piece pipe is to cut it straight and clean in the middle somewhere, and then use a butt-joint style band clamp (where both ends are the same ID) to join them, giving you the same adjustment option.
