So my uncle and I changed out spark plugs on the truck (06, 5.4 93K miles) last night, took about 2 hours. We managed to get all 8 out without breaking any. It had been running a little rough and stumbling around 40MPH. I was hoping it was just plugs and not coils and after driving it last night I am cautiously optimistic that the problem is solved. The plugs came out much easier than the horror stories I have read. I'm wondering if were the original plugs. They looked worn enough to be original. The were Motorcraft Platinum, are those the plugs these trucks came with.
