Replacing Horns

Quick question are the horns on a 05 F250 located near too or under the battery tray , Do I have to pull the tray and battery to gain access to the horn ? I just can't seem to see the damn horns on this truck and they sound so weak can barley hear them . Just woundering if anyone here had had to replace them also and could offer some info as to what has to be removed to get too them.. Thanks

For real it is easier just to take off the right fender. They are not under the battery tray. They are mounted on the inner fender.

Lol. Yea they are in a stupid spot. You could take the splash liner liner off and get too it.

It's only 3 nuts on the vac reservoir, a couple of fasterners around the wheel wheel, push pins under the door hinge, and you can pop the liner down and set it on the tire. Not a big hassle. Maybe one wiring harness clip that has to be moved.

What are you going to replace them with? One of mine has been dead for several years now, and the second one is starting to sound awful.

Great thanks for the added info I was kind of dreading removing the fender ): I am going back with a set of stock horns A Buddy got me a set from a Junkyard up here in Ct he knows of a friend of his runs it . They cost me $10.00 off of a 06 F350 and work well . I was thinking about going with some of the horns I saw on amazon but not knowing how they where mounted and area size there was to work with I figured the OEM Ford Horn set would fit for sure with little changing I hope ?

Yes mine sounds like a sick cow (: Mooooooooooo Moooooooooo I was back home last week had it inspected it passed sick horn and all , I guess the high pitch horn is dead I had a blown fuse , My buddy who's friend runs a junk yard here said they have a issue with water getting into them with the angle some assembly line workers set them in at the factory .
