I'm looking at possibly replacing my 4.6L engine in my 1998 F150. I can get a good deal on a low KM / Miles 4.6L engine from a 2008 F150. I'm sure the block will bolt right in there? Probably just have to put my old intake etc... on the newer engine, correct?
Nope. No drop in and go.
Have you saw the operating system is completely different with cam phasing, PCM etc. Ignition is coil over plug.
Harness is all different etc.
I would not say it can't be done but not as easy as you wish without a lot of changes and working things out.
Good luck.
