Question romeo winsor swap

I have just bought a 1998 ford f150 with a 4.6 winsor that the engine had blown in , with the deal i got a 2002 4.6 romeo engine and transmission out of a f150 that had been wreaked, and i wanted to know if there was any way of installing the romeo engine in the 98. i have bothe complete engines. any information would be helpful thank.

That swap is almost a no-brainer. You'll need to use the coil pack brackets and plug wires/coils setup from the '98 on the '02 engine, and most all of the wiring harness from the '98 will simply plug right in on the '02 engine. There are a few devices(DPFE,etc, etc)that may need to be swapped over to the '98 pieces, but it'll be just as easy as swapping in the same year engine.

The maqin differences are number of flywheel bolts (Romeo has 6, Windsor has 8) and some minor valve train differences. Doing the complete swap is no big deal.
I would use the 02 intake since that engine has PI heads and the 98 does not.
