Plug wires

What are you using for plug wires? It seems like most of what is available is aftermarket cut-to-length wires. Do you need to look out for anything when buying them? I really just need a replacement but it doesn't have to be authentic

Thanks,
John

"Authentic" would mean those nasty open terminals on the plug ends, guaranteed to find all bare skin on your arms while making adjustments. The only advantage to those is that the terminals fit thru the cloverleaf-type wire looms. If you buy pre-made with boots already on both ends, you have to figure something else out. Since yours is a '49, does it still have the earlier type looms?

Worth mentioning, Ray and I put a new set of Dennis C. wires on Doc's new engine, and the boots at the plug end would not stay on the plugs. Dennis C supplies the wires cut to length but with the distributor end boots not inistalled, so they can fit thru the looms.

I do not have the looms but I am looking for alternatives. Currently my wires are all loose and I think whoever put them on did not do with any thought toward length because a few are quite tight.
