afetermarket spark plug wires
does anyone know if there are after market plug wires avil. for a 97 4.6L
i have been looking for accel or something close to that and all i can find is ford motorsports wire but they dont list a price and my locoal dealer priced out @ $110.00. would like to find perforamce wires if i have to pay that much.

I bought a set from autozone (not a plug!). They were about $75. for the set. They were exactlengths to.
The exact lengths are very important. I don't know if you hae ever replaced the wires on that engine before, but Ford really got creative in routing and harnessing them. You can buy cheaper wires, but I would not even think about it unless they are correct lengths.
Tips...(not an insult if you already know!)
Use the silicone. These wires cost too much to fry themselves to the plug.
Remove the airbox and all of the related hoses. Loosen the power steering resevior as well.
One at a time!!
