Need headlight help!!!

I just purchased a 2002 Excursion with the 7.3 in her. I bought her with some problems but got a great deal.

Now the headlight problem. I've searched on here and can't find this problem. My headlights won't come on. The running lights will, the fog lights will and when I
'flash to pass" the high beams they will. But no regular low OR high beams. All other lights work. Where should I go first. I'm headed to the autoparts stores to see if I can find a repair manual with wiring diagrams but doubtful I'll find it local. Probably have to order it. Any help you all can give will be awesome.

Jeff

I don't think so. Even if both low beams were blown then the high beams should work. The high beams will work BUT only when I pull the column lever to "flash" the high beams. The high beam indicator on the instrument cluster will come on then also. I actually found a Haynes manual local and am going through it now. Just trying to figure out if I have daytime running lights option or not. I also have a new main headlight control switch coming in the morning if I need it from Advance Auto. If anyone can help, please do.

No problem mecdac, thanks for the suggestion.

I did finally trace down the problem though. It was a bad connection on the top wiring harness on the multi position switch that is on the steering column. Specifically the red/yellow strip and red/black strip wires in the connector. Got them fixed and now I have lights. If anyone has the same problem just PM me or email me and I'll help you more if you need it.
