Tbird IRS is in
Although not as well done as several others, it is done. With the Dave Held [truckirs.com] kit. As far as the fear of the front mount hanging too low, if it goes the running board brackets will also. The kit worked well for me and allowed me to be back on the road sooner. Get the bed back on today the tighten all the bolts when weight is on the tires. Align it, new tailpipes, and "on the road again".

Looks good, different from my Jag IRS setup. Out of interest, what the big bracket in from of the rear axle for? Is that a bump stop that hits the floor?
No worries I followed your link and checked out the install. I just never seen it before and from the pictures I couldn't see that there was a whole frame attached to that bracket, it also looks like it is pretty low compared to the wheels from that angle.

Let me correct my "in cab" comment. Being a 53 the tank is under the cab, but the filler neck exits thru the body. I don't want to redo body work and paint to move it. Make sense? One of the benefits, in my mind, to the irs is more weight in the rear of the truck yet reduces unsprung weight. May not be right, but it sounds good.
