My rear bumper is rusting pretty bad. I have polished several times, and it comes back worse every time. Its less than 2 years old and I have mud flaps. I brought it to the dealer today, and the writer was trying to pass it off as normal. Has anyone experienced this? Thanks
Do you have the painted or chrome bumpers? Is this rust on the inside or outside surface? is this happening where the paint/chrome was scratched or chipped?
Shoot a PM my way with your info, nitropolaris2; I want to see what I can do to help. In your message, be sure to include your full name, best daytime phone number, VIN, mileage, and servicing dealership.
That's just not right for a 2012. Hope Ford does the right thing. With the price of these things one should be able to expect them to look good for a few years.

Crystal, is there anyway other way to get a hold of you? The site will not let me PM
Why would the paint or chrome plating on a bumper be treated any different than the paint on a body panel? If the truck is well cared for then Ford should give you some consideration.
Obviously the selling dealer will be of no use here. I'd fire him immediately and move right to Ford's customer service. I have no patience or use for anyone who won't back their product.
Clearly things can happen to bumpers but the pics look to me as though the chrome plating failed.
