Removing turbo from van

I have a 96 E-350 w/ 7.3l powerstroke.

I'm trying to get the turbo off. It's the first time I've disassembled one, and I'm having a bit of trouble since the access is different from a truck, and all the info seems to be truck based. Are there any guides for this that are van specific? Pics or videos would be great. Maybe I'm just not finding them.

One specific problem: I'm having trouble getting at the pedestal bolts. The only guide I have right now is the turbo removal section from the ford service cd. It says to remove the front pedestal bolts before removing the exhaust inlet adapter (11 in pic 1, the metal y connected to the turbine), but appears to show the opposite in one of the diagrams(see pic 2).

But, the y is preventing me from getting at those bolts. And, I can't seem to get the Y out without disconnecting the other end of the left hand exhaust pipe(not shown in the diagram)...or removing the two double sided bolts that connect the y to the turbine (that's what I'm currently trying to do).

E350 Turbo removal

Hey - I was wondering if you had success with this operation. I'm attempting the same thing on my own 1996 E350. Were you able to track down any video or resources for this?
