I haven't done this myself, but I do believe there are four bolts in the turbo pedestal. Must be one somewhere that was missed.

We have looked all up and down it and if there is its gotta be back behind it and there's no way to see it. I don't think.

I believe there should be two bolts that go in from the top and two nuts that come off studs on the bottom to remove the pedestal from the Exhaust Back Pressure Valve (EBPV). Again, I've not had mine off, but that is my understanding. Two 13mm bolts on top, two 15mm or so nuts on studs on the bottom.

I used a 10mm flexible head Craftsman gear wrench for pedestal bolts and a 15mm one for turbo bolts

I used 1/4" drive swivel and socket to remove my pedestal bolts and that last one is Very hard to find, there is a grove ground/cast into the EGBV cyl. that allows you access. Once you do it ain't so bad. I made a 15mm wrench by wielding a piece of flat bar with a 1/2" square hole in it to a cheap boxed end wrench end that I cut off. This made a offset boxed wrench(?) for removing the exhaust flange lower bolts. I hope you already have it off. The Haynes book I have shows a later version, but lists it as '94-'97.

Yea after we found the last bolt we still can't figure out how to git it out. I tried taking the up pipes out to get that y pipe out of the way so I could git behind it but I don't know if that's the way to go.

I used a 1/4" socket with a swivel (swivel socket would be better) and a combination of extensions and adaptors to get to 1/2" ratchet on top and got it loose. I can't remember the exact combination I used as its been a year and a half ago. It does suck bad. Now not so bad as I cut the ebpv off so its easy to get to that bolt now.

Take your 1/4" socket, universal, and ext.(swivel socket, yes would be better, I did not have one then) and working straight down along the cyl. for the EGBV, there is a grove cast/ground into the cly. The cyl. runs horizontal-from fender to fender if you will- and on the back side you will feel the grove. It will be nearly impossible to see it without mirrors and then difficult.
