I just got done putting an egr delete, oil cooler and lower part of the ficm and the truck started up at first. After letting it run for a few minutes I hit the throttle and it revved up then stayed revved even after I let go of the pedal. Then the truck started loping then died. Now it will not restart and when I turn the key on the oil pressure goes to normal without even turning the engine over. Unhook the oil pressure sensor and the gauge falls then as soon as you hook it up it's back to normal. The oil filter has oil in it and fuel runs out of the filter when you crank it over. Does anybody have any suggestions? TIA
Anything to check live data? Really need icp and ipr while cranking. If not pull the ipr and check the screen. Usually the Ipr will clog with stuff if the oil cooler job was not very clean. If the screen is pushed in it needs removed and cleaned. Get a new screen and you should be good to go.
Thanks for the help, I wasn't planning on redoing the ficm until this no start problem but when I took it apart to check the solder points on one side, one of the resistors was burnt completely off the circuit board and the other one was standing straight up so I got the lower half. What about the oil pressure staying up without the engine running?
