Trouble codes
Hi I'm back I finally got my elm and I have some codes on my ranger 2000 here goes
P0141: o2 sensor heater circuit malfonction (bank 2 sensor 2 )
P0455: evaporative emission control system detected (large leak)
Now I will need help to get that fixed cause I don't know where to look and what to look for
For the leak I know there is a big crack on the plastic where the gas lid is could that be it ?
Thanks for everything and by the way if somebody else buys an elm-327 from china and want forscan to work don't buy from CHINA it won't work it doesn't accept the protocol so you need a different program

Most P0141 codes are due to a failed downstream (after the cat) oxygen sensor, or a problem with the O2 sensor circuit/wiring.

On the ELM, you had indicated in your other thread that you ordered the LYL WiFi ELM & if so, it runs FORScan just fine for me on my laptop using WiFi & Windows-7 home premium. If you tried running the latest version of FORScan, maybe it got corrupted in the down load, or they've messed it up doing other fixes, updates, or adding additional tests, as they did on the metric to imperial temp conversion back in Dec 2013. (A member on TCCA reported problems yesterday with the latest version of FORScan, so he is going to try version 2.1.14. Another later version had freeze problems that have been fixed). Anyway they quickly put the fix on the temp conversion & other things back in Dec & the 2.1.14 version was checked out by another TCCA member & myself & was found to work ok on his Taurus & my 99 Ranger. So you might go to the FORScan download page, scroll down to find version 2.1.14 & down loading that older version & see how it runs for your phone WiFi application. I'm still using that version & it works fine with WiFi on my laptop on my 99 Ranger.
