Here's an album of the truck they're going on: https://imgur.com/a/FZcsZ. It's stock height. Has antique plates on it, so it wont be driven much at all (>1,000 miles a year per law). Won't have much of a load in the bed either.
235/70-15s on stock wheels in front with 275/60-15s on 15x8s in the rear look good and correct the visual anomaly of these rigs crabbing down the road due to the narrower rear track width.
Use the same principle if going with 16-inch wheels.

Correct. The rear axle is two inches more shallow from what I read. So a 10 inch rear with 8 or 7 front, with the same backspacing should correct it as well.
Can anyone confirm 4.5 backspacing for a 10 inch rim?
8" wheels on the front of my truck was terrible on the highway real sloppy steering 7's handle good the front ends were not designed for wide tires.
I have 8" wide rims up front with a lot of play in the steering and my truck is smooth as ***** on the highway.

I have 4 1/8" backspacing on my rear 10" rim and would not go any more. I'd be hitting the fender. I also have enough trouble as it is replacing a wheel as I have to support the frame on stands to let the axle drop. Granted, I'm lowered a bit, but still.

Yes....8 on the front and 10 on the back. All with 4" back. Corrects track and it will tuck 275/60's in the rear.
Watch the width on the rears, I'm running 285s on the back of mine with stock backspacing and it's tight. There is room for a 12" wide tire but much more and I'd be seriously concerned about tire damage.

Ok. At the stock height I shouldn't have an issue to the outside, although I don't want them sticking out much past the fenders.
