Man it seems the Rancho 9k's are really popular. The adjustment **** rusting up would defiantly be a concern of mine. They use a stupid amount of salt around here. Fluid film? Maybe I've been under a rock, I've never heard of it, who makes it? Short of an air suspension the 9k's seem like a great option the more I think of it. I do a lot of hauling and towing so that would be a nice luxury.

Purchase the compressor with wireless remote to set it. Eliminate the **** so that can not rust out or stop turning. My unit worked well thru two harsh Winnipeg winters.
I put new Bilsteins on all four plus a Bilstein steering stabalizer on about two years ago and I have to say, I am not happy with them. They are the 4600 series as my truck is not lifted. I really couldn't feel any big difference between the new Bilsteins and the old OEM shocks and now I have had to replace the two rear shocks for leaking fluid, blown seals I guess. I did not do any serious off roading at all, just towing a 11K 5th Wheel is all I have subjected them to.

Up on the top of this page, look for a dark gray line. It'll have your handle on it. Click on your name, you'l get a menu. Go to USER CP, then look for the link on the left that says EDIT SIGNATURE.
I just tried to get the in cab controller for the 9000's and unless I find an in stock one from a distributor, they are not out there...
Ranco did say they are working on something newer, but no ETA...
I REALLY want one while I am trying to figure out where I like mine set
(and the airlift wirelessONE air bag controller is spoiling me where you can set 3 'programmed' settings and adjust from there !)
After the first winter they won't be adjustable anymore. Lol

You can unbolt the **** and pack it with grease when they are new. No more seizing problems.
I'm going to get a set of Monroe's at a buddie's recommendation. You can get some serious cash off at Advance auto with the $40 off $100 coupon codes too.
I had the 9000s and they worked well on large bumps, but on most rodes, they firmed the ride even on the lightest setting. Almost to the point of abuse.
I've heard good things about Skyjacker M95s. I may try those one day.
Wow it seems as the favorite around here is the 9k's. Looks like a good deal with the rebate too. I may just pick up a set once I get done throwing parts at the wife's Lincoln. Thanks guys!
