It'll fit the engine.. the question is whether it will fit your chassis - shorty or not.

Try this... find out who makes the header for the late model application and then see if the same PN will fit your application. You know, deductive reasoning.

But, But, But, that will make my brain hurt, .

Back when I ran a speed shop, I would do this kind of stuff all the time for people. They would have an oddball engine swap or different heads or pistons in a block and I would cross reference stuff like this all the time. Sometimes it would come out black and white as Vehicle "A" has this motor and Vehicle "B" has a different motor, but in one model year the two vehicles would have the same motor so then the motor in the "A" car would fit all years of "B" car.

Other times it would be an educated guess, but I always told my customers that. This was back when we only had binders full of pages to go through and not computor files. After I developed a bit of a reputiation for this, all of the other local shop owners would call me up and ask as it was easier than trying to figure it out themselves.

Mammerjammer, check with member Conanski. If I recall correctly he said shorty headers end up aiming at the firewall. I cant remember if he was talking about mustang shorties or truck, or both. Sorry I couldn't be more help.

Ford racing shorty headers do aim at the firewall. Mine do.
