Well, sort of...anyway, what's your question, specifically?

We're installing some long hedders and it appears that if I can't get the engine high enough off the frame, we may have to pull the motor to get them on. Make any sense?

I've never encountered any that you had to actually pull the motor to install them, but it's a pretty tight fit between the heads and the spring towers so it often does require unbolting the mounts and raising the engine. Have you tried feeding them in from below? You just have to try all different angles till you find the one that works.

Are you having a problem with both side, or is it mainly one side?

On my truck I had to jack it up about 24'' and then raise the engine another 6" or so to get them in from below. That was the only way they would go in.

I haven't messed with them yet but my son tried for about 2 hours and couldn't get them in. I don't know how earnestly he tried from the bottom but we'll dig more into into it Saturday. The biggest reason I even brought it up was if there is something I should know, I'd like to know it before I waste a day on it. You know what I mean? I'll keep you all posted.

Yup, there it is...

Glad you got it, I'd hate to see you pull the motor when you usually don't need to.
