Have anyone ever heard of black magic tire care. It's something u apply with an sponge applicator. My fiance came walking in the door the other day with a bottle of that stuff. Is it any good or just a waste of money. Is the spray on from a can just as good. We own a 2007 black expedition Eddie Bauer model. Input on this is appreciated. Thanks. .....P.s it's called forever black tire care not black magic. My bad everyone sorry bout that.
I've used it on my wife's Impala. Seems to last quite a bit longer than other products, and doesn't fling off. It also doesn't look like you just applied 25 layers of shellac to the tires. I like the tires to look clean, but I HATE those super glossy tire dressings.

Agreed. I have no need to see my reflection in my tires. I aim for the "new tires" look. I used to do detailing as a side business, and I found a few things that worked over the years...
The most IMPORTANT step before applying any tire shine product is to clean the tires. There is/was a product called "Westley's Bleche White" Works amazing, especially if you have white lettering on your tires. It has now been rebranded and is being sold as "Black Magic Bleche White" Its sold at Walmart (US stores only) and is dirt cheap. Its always satisfying to spray this stuff on and watch the brown gunk just run off of your tires.
The next best thing I've Found is "Castrol Super Clean" Its a degreaser, but works almost as good as westleys to get the brown "oxidization" off the tires.
Both products just spray on, let sit for 30 seconds, scrub with a stiff brush and hose off, being careful to get as little on the wheels as possible. Repeat two or three times if your tires have been neglected.
Then I let them dry and put on my dressing of choice. Know what I use? Good ol' Armour All Original. I don't spray it on there like most people until its running off. Just a light misting, let it soak in, wipe off the excess. Let it dry and reapply if it looks uneven. I did this a few weeks back, and a guy at work said, "I saw you bought new tires for your truck" I said "Nope same ones that Have been on it since I bought it!" He wouldn't believe me.
I also used Meguires "Endurance" in the past. It lasts a bit longer especially in wet weather.

I've been using that stuff since I had my first car back in '84. Still love it!
As far as tire shine stuff, for the truck I usually use some type of spray on product as well. Too many nooks and crannies on truck tires for the gel/applicator. Frankly, I don't have the patience for it, lol.
I've used More Shine Less Time from Stoner's, and either Mothers or Meguiars natural shine. Usually, the More Shine lasts a little longer.

Yep. That is why I went back to spray on types as well!
