What do you all use to clean your tires. It seems after I wash the tires (Toyo), they look almost a brown color. I use a scrub brush with soap or degreaser and they still are brown. After I use some tire condintioner they look ok, but would like not to use condintioner all the time to get the nice black look.
I have the same problem. I just did some cleaning today. Classic Bleech White and a rag worked decently, but I ruined a rag and still didn't get them very clean. Mother's Reflections tire shine hides a good bit of it, but inside my tread is turning gray.
I thought my brown was from our cocina and clay dirt roads.

I like the Bleech white but if your tires are really dirty you will need to scrub them with a brush.
I have been, but I can't ever seem to wash much of it off. My usual and sightly productive method is to hose the tires down and let them soak while I am working on one. I spray them down with bleechwhite and scrub them with one of my tire brushes. Then hose them off.
Today I tried, spraying the bleech white on while the tire was dry, brushing them. Applying more bleech white and then wiping them down a rag. The rag lifted a lot more junk than normal, but even after rinsing, there was still brown on the edges and white between the treads.
westleys bleach white makes by BFG's look new again. I also never use shine products.
Ditto...I find that shine products seem to attract road grime and brake dust; resulting in the brown residue on the tires. Since I've stopped using tire shine products, it is no longer a problem.
I can see that you guys aren't from the South! Down here, we use Greased Lighting. It's the only cleaner that I use, period. I spray it on the tires and that brown stuff just starts coming off, even if the tire appear to be pretty clean. I use a mild bristle brush and Comet on the white lettering. They are truly black and don't need anything else.
You can find it at Lowes, Sam's Club, Wal-mart, Target, etc.
I've used a few that cleaned pretty well. I use Bleech Wite all the time now. Purple power and Mr. Red work good as well. A warning about Mr Red though, Dilute it before you use it. It can eat your clearcoat lol. To get that brown off I've found you gotta use a lot of elbow grease. When I clean my rims/tires I usually scrub them down twice then hit the road to throw the water off.
i use bleach white and ky is kinda considered the south but i use it b4 i take it through the wash, and the wash has bleach white sprayers and tire scrubbers so double duty
