I just got my 2005 6.0 back from shop where he just did the head studs, new oil cooler etc. Tuned with SCT tuner. EGR delete was already done. Truck ran great for 3 days, stopped today and washed it, drove home with the AC on so as to not streak the windows. Pull up in drive shut off and about 20-25 mins later go out get in and won't start. Cranks over fine but like no fuel. I was just looking around I pulled dipstick and there is barley any oil on it. When I got it back it had the TBC Fault coming on but didn't seem to effect it any. This guy pulled the engine instead of lifting cab which I was hoping would be better so as not to get rattles and leaks afterward. I have already called the guy but no call back yet. Any ideas? This ever happened to anyone else.
Thanks.
Get a tow truck and drop it off at his front door. Not saying he screwed something up bu when there's a problem and they don't answer the call he sounds flakey to me.
I just scanned for the codes and got P2284 Injector Control Pressure Sensor Circuit Range Performance P2291 Injector Control Pressure Too Low Engine Cranking there was another doubt it has anything to do with not starting but it was P1635 TireAxle Out of Acceptable Range
Ipr stuck open most likely. Pull it and clean it. Should be ok. Just poor cleanliness when doing the oil cooler. Even shop rags can leave too much crap behind.
Ok here we are, tech came to my house. Truck started for him but it was a little hard he shuts off. Pressure tested with no leaks. Ran the codes and he got same codes, just a little more defined his said Injector 2. Starts it up a couple of times. We take out on road to get it warmed up with his tool hooked up. Temps are all ok, injectors are all ok. Drove about 10 miles just like I did Friday truck is now staring and running like it should. He said drive the heck out of it and we will have to see what happens.
The low oil issue is probably why it's not starting. Put oil in it and get it staright back to the shop so they get it done right. Watch your oil pressure on the way!
