Does anyone know where to purchase wheel well covers. I may be using the term "wheel well covers" incorrectly. My father-in-law has a Dodge 2500 and purchased the covers through the dealership. The wheel well covers are mounted directly above the wheels and are mounted to predrilled holes. My F-250 has the predrilled holes and as well as the others on the lot that I looked at. I mentioned this to our sales person and was not sure. I was getting concerned with having to correct the salesperson on the truck order, so I backed off on the wheel well covers. Hopefully enough was explained.
I have some very cool patriotic pictures that were taken of my truck. Plan to post some pictures in the near future.
Nexter74: I'm trying to think of what your looking for, and the only "cover" I can come up with is the chrome molding you can install around the wheelwell to dress it up or aftermarket flares that are added if you install larger tires!!
Are we getting closer??
Lenny,
Spoke with my Father-in-law again. Apparently the proper term is wheel well liners. They amount above the tire but on the underside of the vehicle. Any ideas. We tried to go to the dealership today. They were closed. Will look on the internet some, now that I am using the proper words. Getting closer.
Nexter74: Wheel well liner, damn, I have'nt heard of that accessorie in years. I just went out and looked at my truck to see if there were holes to mount these under fenders. The front would not need any for the factory liners are plastic, the rear does not have any holes that I could find other than water drain holes,so I'm not sure of application for a S/D. Years ago the inner fender wells were metal, both front and rear. On some model trucks they made liners that after installed, they would help keep the rocks and debris from beating the inner fenders to hell and quiet down the noise also. I'm not sure if ford makes one for their trucks or not, if they do it's going to be big $$$$. You could make one out of a wide strip of rubber and screw it to the underside if you really need one.
Keep us posted as to what you find!!
