currently i am unemployed and the jobs around here are next to nothing for pay or good pay but lack the credentials so i pondered on the idea that a wise man once said "find something you love to do, then have someone pay you to do it" and the thing i love more than anything else is the ford FE engine family but idk if there is much call for them these days and it would require quite a big investment on my part and i would have to hire out the machine work but i wonder if decent money could be made at building and selling FE's...... What do you guys think?
Better to find what people need, and figure out a way to provide that. Maybe something or a service that isn't being met. As just an example maybe the folks don't need V8s rebuilt, but I bet they need their snoblowers serviced about now, coming off a killer winter.
I wouldn't say given up. They're, FE's, are getting more scarce every day, the parts are getting expensive and the new small blocks are making more power with 1/3 the weight. Just facts of life.
if only i had a flow bench i would preferably just do the heads.... every set of heads i have ported out turned out great compared to the stock heads but then again it would involve rebuilding stacks and stacks of heads that you know would all need everything replaced.... like the title this is just a curiosity and just feeling the waters
